Summary

Cassette contains recording of semiannual dinner board meeting for New York Shakespeare Festival. After the financial report and introducing new member Laura Wilson to the board, Joseph Papp read some fan letters from several audience members, who raved about the play "The human comedy". Papp announced the plays "Fen", "Cinders", and "A private view" were closing. Plays for the next season were then announced, including "Nest of the wood grouse", "Ice bridge" (by the Vietnam Veterans Ensemble Theatre Co.), "Henry V", starring Kevin Kline and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and "The golem", starring Randy Quaid. The 3rd annual Young Playwrights Festival was discussed at length, as well as the Latin-American Music Festival (i.e. Festival Latino) and other various new productions slated for 1985.
