- Note
- Figure of pointing man executed in "squiggle" style characteristic of Kerouac's sketches during his 1957 visit to William S. Burroughs in Tangier.
- Sketch depicts the Buddha seated in lotus position, with elongated ears as in Far Eastern iconographic tradition, with haloed woman, light-beaming figures (including bald, elongated-ears head), and fantasy creatures (e.g. camel with man's head) surrounding him.
- Water has caused ink to run over much of sketch.
