- Text comprises one page of page-by-page explanation for relation of map of Manhattan, with one block outlined in red pen, to the blank, numerated pages that follow: "One block was randomly selected from a map of the New york area, scale: 1/4 = 500' (see map). p. 1: The area of the block measures 1/16 x 316" on the map and 125 x 375' in actual size, and is enlarged in proportion of 1 : 3 to a rectangular area measuring 11 x 33, after which: p. 2: 1/3 the area of the block mweasuring 1/48 x 3/48" on the map and 41'8" x 125' in actual size is enlarged to a rectangular area of 11 x 33", etc., with each succeeding blank, numerated leaf recto representing a third the amount space represented.
