Summary

Cassette contains recording of a meeting held at Joseph Papp's home with New York Shakespeare Festival staff, NYSF trustees, and Gail Merrifield Papp. Joe discusses of hiring Robert Marx, Executive Director of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, to become the chief administator. JoAnne Akalaitis was also mentioned as a possible candidate, but at the time she was not believed to be Papp's first choice. Joe also reads Marx's mission statement and talks to him on the phone.
