Summary
Cassette contains the first board of trustees meeting held after Joseph Papp's death on Oct 31, 1991. The meeting was held at 12 noon at the offices of Stanley, Lowell, Fink, Weinbergen, Fredman, Berman and Lowell, 420 Lexington Ave., New York, NY. JoAnne Akalaitis, the new artistic director of New York Shakespeare Festival, discussed productions for the upcoming 1992 season, and informed the board of her decision of canceling the production of Jean Genet's "Four hours in Shatila." The board also discussed of dissolving Festival Latino due to budget cuts, and their increasing interest with Nuyorcian Poet Cafe. The theater budget and bring in new board members, like Gail Merrifield Papp, rounded out the topics for the rest of the meeting.
