The Merry widow was given its American Ballet Theatre company premiere at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York on June 6, 1979, danced by Susan Jaffe (Hanna Glawari) and Jose Manuel Carreño (Count Danilo Danilovitch)." -- American Ballet Theatre program (July 2, 2008).
