The sixth film in the series studies the Burk clan of rural Georgia. Arlon and Grace Burk subsist on five acres of land and a social security check of $128 a month. In small houses and trailers, 10 of their 13 children, along with wives, husbands and offspring, live with them. Poor education and menial jobs have kept the Burks chronically poor yet the clan is bound by affection and a sense of survival.
