- Summary
- On May 13, 1985, 11 people died and 61 families lost their homes in an inferno. The fire was the result of a violent confrontation between Philadelphia police and members of a radical group known as MOVE. This documentary places events in a historical, social and political context. Inhabitants of the area describe the activities of the group and the apathy of officials in dealing with problems MOVE posed for the community. Surviving MOVE members recall the assault on their headquarters and discuss their revolutionary philosophy. In the aftermath of the devastation, residents are seen rebuilding their neighborhood with a renewed sense of solidarity.
