- Summary
- With the help of his uncle, a stadium employee, young Steve meets his baseball idol, Andre Dawson, who gives him his cap. Steve loses the souvenir and later sees the son of a wealthy lawyer wearing it. When Steve and his father go to reclaim the cap, the lawyer offers Steve's unemployed father $100 for it. Steve is crushed and hates his father for accepting the offer. Steve's dad, realizing his own weakness with money, apologizes and attempts to explain himself.
