Summary
This production of Rossini's version of the Cinderella story is highlighted by scenery adapted from old-fashioned storybooks in tones of sepia and gold. Ferretti's libretto maintains the tone of the Perraut story. The lost glass slipper becomes a bracelet given by Cinderella to the prince.
