Summary
Bunuel illustrates in this satiric parable that society, placed in certain test conditions, breaks down from its internal contradictions and falsities. The bourgeois guests at a society dinner discover that they are unable to leave the room where they have gathered. As time passes without food, water or the ministrations of servants, their social facades crumble giving way to bestiality. (Does not circulate)
