Summary

One can sympathize with the disconcerted elderly woman when rats scamper about her home. Yet, one can also identify with the rodent family confined to quarters beneath the cottage floor. The solution to this dilemma rests with the kindly rat-catcher. Contrasting variations on a musical theme teasingly represent conflicting viewpoints in this animated film.
