- Description
- 1 film reel (15 min.) : si. b&w.; 16 mm.
- Summary
- In this remake of Griffith's suspenseful classic, "The Lonedale Operator" (1911), the elements are two thousand dollars, a woman telegraph operator, two bandits who attempt to kill her and steal the money, and a train rushing to her aid. Using closeups to convey suspense and establish point of view and a rare closeup of a pistol cartridge being exploded by a hammer. Several camera positions on and about speeding trains make up the unusual camera uses in this film.
