Summary
This documentary portrays the conditions of working men and women in the "free trade zones" of developing countries where American industries have relocated in search of lower wage forces. Filmed in electronic and garment factories, and in communities within the United States, along Mexico's northern border and in the Philippines, this study scrutinizes the need for companies to reduce production costs, the need for Third World governments to alleviate unemployment, and the effects on workers.
