- Summary
- In this live-action adaptation, two Black boys, Peter and Archie are playing in a rubble-strewn lot, adding finishing touches to their "fort," when Peter espies a yellow plastic handle protruding from the ground. Unearthing a battered pair of lensless motorcycle goggles, Peter puts them on, mounts a pretend motorcycle and zooms over to gain Archie's attention. Leaving the fort, Peter and Archie are accosted by three bullies, who demand the goggles. In the ensuing confrontation, the goggles drop from Peter's pocket. Peter's dog, Willie, retrieves them and leads the bullies on a wild chase through the neighborhood. Peter and Archie, with help from Willie, outwit the bullies, and escape to Archie's porch where they daydream about the many things they can do with their "cool" goggles.
