- Summary
- This animated fable concerning a greedy boy's comeuppance is enhanced by wry narration and a suspenseful score. Norvin had a very plain face which looked remarkably like a shark. He spent his days swimming in crowded Caramel Cove, shooting through the water like a silver arrow. Sharing the bay with other swimmers, however, made Norvin cross and resentful, prompting him to devise a wicked plan. Tying a dorsal fin to his back, Norvin, disguised as "the great white man-eating shark," frightens the bathers away and is able to have the swimming hole to himself. After a time, the swimmers return impelling Norvin to don the false fin again. The plan works well until a female shark appears and threatens to devour Norvin unless he agrees to marry her. Norvin retreats posthaste to the beach, his prank revealed to the other bathers.
