- Summary
- When the first Black family in the neighborhood moves in next door to 14-year-old Bobby Miller, he is confronted by the racial prejudice of his neighbors. Bobby finds himself caught between his growing friendship with his new neighbor Willie Franklin, and loyalty to Jack Barrett who is bigoted towards Blacks. After many incidents of discrimination against the Franklins, Bobby learns that ignoring injustice is equivalent to condoning it.
