- Description
- 2 film reels (50 min.) : sd. col.; 16 mm.
- Summary
- A lyrical portrait of village life in rural Haiti. The film focuses on the rituals which compose the texture of life: getting water from the river, making rope from sisal, cooking rice and beans in an outdoor kitchen, planting and harvesting. A man and a woman are followed through the cycle of their day; the larger community is followed through the cycle of a week: the market on Tuesday, the cockfight on Saturday, the dance on Sunday.
