Summary
This adaptation of the Grimm tale is set in a small American town of the 1930's and features a predominantly Black cast. Jack, a poor farmer's son, wants to marry Emily, the daughter of the town dentist. The dentist tests Jack's worth by having him accomplish a number of seemingly impossible tasks. A comical story about a clever hero who wins his true love by using his wits.
