Summary

A re-creation of a child's world told in opaque watercolors about a Mennonite farming family in British Columbia and the child Mary who longs to keep a part wolf dog they find. Although father reminds her that all of their animals must work or provide food, the little dog warns of a coyote at the hen house and proves his worth.
