- This musical comedy-drama which focuses on the problems encountered by a Puerto Rican youngster and his family when they move from Tampa, Fla., to Brooklyn, New York. Tom forms a successful singing duo with his Italian American shoeshine partner only to find the pleasure of earning so much money undermined by the defensiveness of his father, a proud man forced out on strike.
