Summary
A diary in three parts: 1)The Formative Years, 2)From Cubism to Guernica, 3)A Unity of Variety, explores the life and work of Pablo Picasso. Includes the artist's drawings, paintings and sculptures as well as rare film sequences and unpublished photographs. Interviews with family members, close friends and historians such as Paloma Picasso, Joan Miro, Brassai and David Douglas Duncan provide valuable insights. Re-enacted voice-overs with Picasso's own words reveal the artist's feelings on his art and life and those of Gertrude Stein, Jean Cocteau, Jaime Sabartes and Fernande Olivier, his first love.
