Summary
These two works based on the plays by Frank South are known collectively as Two By South. Produced Off-Broadway at the St. Clements Theatre and directed by Altman in his New York debut as a stage director, Precious blood tells the stories of two American southerners, a white man and a black woman, whose lives cross and tragically tangle one rainy night. Rattlesnake in a cooler is a dramatic monologue about a Kentucky doctor whose aimless drifting results in tragedy.
