Summary
This animated fable about human understanding overcoming prejudice tells the tale of two immigrant women living in turn-of-the-century Canada. When the Polish farm woman allows her cow to roam freely and deposit its droppings everywhere, she outrages her neighbor who keeps her house spotlessly clean. The angry housewife confronts the farm woman and a fight ensues. Neglecting her chores, the housewife plots revenge and calls the farm woman to apologize for her behavior and invite her to tea. She mixes a mincemeat pie and includes a special ingredient, cow manure. At tea, the farm woman praises the pie and asks for the recipe. Filled with remorse, the housewife realizes how nice her neighbor is and how much they have in common.
