- Summary
- A drama in which a lonely young woman is flattered by the advances of a thief who uses his wiles to gain knowledge of her father's business affairs and admittance to her home. The adventurer's betrayal of the young woman's love drives her mad. Griffith used long takes as a means of allowing Blanche Sweet to develop her character to a degree unusual for silent films of this period.
