- Description
- 2 film reels (80 min.) : si. b&w.; 16 mm.
- Summary
- The saga of Joan of Arc, based on the transcripts of her 18-month long trials, is evoked in the use of close-up and Rembrandtesque tableaux with a severe white decor designed by Hermann Warm. It collapses the 29 examinations of Joan of Arc before her death at the stake into the events of one day, thus intensifying the action and psychological crucible. (Circulates)
