Summary
A political documentary without narration of the Army-McCarthy Hearings of 1954. For 36 days in 1954, the Army-McCarthy Hearings brought an unusual kind of political theatre into the homes of millions of Americans - an inquisitorial spectacle played for live TV by lawyers like Army counsel, Joseph Welch and leaders of the right like Senator McCarthy. The film presents the highlights of the historic hearings from 188 hours of kinescopes.
