Description
1 film reel (10 min.) : sd. col.; 16 mm.
Summary
Two experimental films by Norman McLaren. In Pen point percussion, an oscilloscope records what various sounds look like, and McLaren explains how sound vibrations are translated into an area of varying width on a film's sound track. In Loops, McLaren uses these principles to make a film in which the sound and visuals are created directly on the film with pen and ink.
