- Description
- 1 film reel (32 min.) : sd. b&w.; 16 mm.
- Summary
- A classic documentary about the exploitation and misuse of the Mississippi River. The film covers the period from the Civil War to the disastrous floods of the 1930's. Much of the film's power derives from the poetic narration, and the editing that parallels the rhythms of the water as it flows toward the Gulf of Mexico.
