- Summary
- Animation is used to tell the story of Red Riding Hood, a kind and considerate girl, and her unfortunate misadventure with the cunning wolf. One day, Red Riding Hood's mother asked her to take a custard to her grandmother and warned the girl not to tarry or speak to strangers. Walking through the deep, dark wood to Grandmother's house, Red Riding Hood encountered a wolf who volunteered to escort her through the forest. When this offer was refused, the wolf suggested that the girl pick sunflowers for her granny. While Red Riding Hood busied herself with this task, the wolf hurried to the elderly woman's house, gobbled her up and awaited Red Riding Hood's arrival. Entering her grandmother's bedroom, the young girl noticed rather striking differences in her granny's features and was suddenly devoured by the wolf. In the end, a passing hunter opened the wolf's stomach and freed Red Riding Hood and her grandmother. Following this perilous escapade, Red Riding Hood vowed never to talk to strangers again, and she never did.
