- Summary
- Animation is used to tell the story of Sylvester Duncan, a donkey whose unique hobby was collecting pebbles. One day, he picked up a truly special red pebble that made his wishes come true. Frightened by an approaching lion, Sylvester wished that he be transformed into a rock and so he was. Unfortunately, unable to hold the pebble in his hand, Sylvester was incapable of wishing himself back to normal form. Back in Oaksdale, Sylvester's parents were distraught by their son's mysterious disappearance and worried about him throughout the year. In the spring, with their sorrow somewhat assuaged, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan decided to have a picnic on Strawberry Hill. As fate would have it, Mr. Duncan discovered the magic stone and placed it on the rock that was now Sylvester just as the hapless donkey wistfully longed for his former self. With Sylvester returned to his natural shape and joyfully reunited with his mother and father, Mr. Duncan promptly placed the pebble in an iron safe out of harm's way.
