- Summary
- An Australian counseling team composed of a pediatrician, nurse and psychologist help grief-stricken families cope with and overcome the depression and guilt that accompany stillbirth and neonatal death. The film focuses on the families of two women, Tess and Donna. A team actively aids Tess and her children in dealing with the loss of her third child. Their experience is contrasted with that of Donna, who has experienced three stillbirths which were handled in a traditional manner; the deaths were minimized and avoided. Consequently, Donna and her husband still experience anger and unresolved grief. The documentary looks closely at Donna's plight as one member of the counseling team tries to restore her self-esteem.
