- Description
- 1 videocassette (57 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
- Summary
- This tape profiles three families - one foster, one biological and one adoptive - headed by parents who are gay or lesbian. In one family, two gay fathers relate how they have tried to create a secure environment for their 16-year-old foster son who was on the road to delinquency. The two lesbians in another household discuss the ways they have helped their 11-year-old adopted son overcome the emotional trauma of disability and neglect. The two adolescent girls of the third family explain how they have accepted their father's homosexuality. The comments of family members are supplemented by those of mental health professionals who outline child development and research study results.
