- Summary
- The cultural dichotomies of Houston, Texas, America's third most powerful urban center, are explored using a magazine-type format. Oil men, Jesus rallies, the Houston Space Center and a singles apartment complex which manifest conspicuous consumption are contrasted with an impoverished prairie town, the anachronistic cowboy and the chaos of urban transportation.
