- Summary
- This film is an examination of the role of the church, both Catholic and Protestant, in Nicaragua and its role in the 1979 Sandinista victory over the Somoza dictatorship. Missionaries, laymen, priests and government officials discuss Christian responsibility in the area of social concerns. The film presents a conception of the "theology of liberation" which has had a significant impact on both the church and movements for social change in Latin America.
