Description
1 film reel (26 min.) : sd. col.; 16 mm.
Summary
A faithful but cinematically imaginative version of Poe's classic tale. A manservant, quite mad but telling the story to convince us of his rationality, describes how he is impelled to murder his bedridden master, driven by his obsession with the old man's sinisterly clouded eye. Tension builds inexorably until it culminates in the terrifying murder and continues with the arrival of the authorities.
