- Summary
- Brightly-hued animation is used to tell the tale of two very different chickens. Harriet was enormously fond of reading and hobbies. Lethargic Winnie would rather swat flies all day long. One day, Winnie is offered a ride in a hot air balloon by a wily fox and takes off much to the chagrin of Harriet who frantically tries to retrieve her. Other animals commiserate with Harriet stating unequivocally, "She never did have a lick of sense." When the fox sets down to get more provisions, Winnie unwittingly jettisons the balloon's sandbags, and temporarily eludes her captor. Bored with her balloon flight, she disembarks the aircraft at the nearest watertower. Undeterred, the fox dons a chicken costume and captures Winnie in a sack. Disguised as a dog, Harriet rescues her flighty friend and puts her to bed with a book about the wily fox.
