- Description
- 1 videocassette (54 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
- Summary
- Filmed over a ten-day period in Managua, Nicaragua, this documentary report chronicles "the most observed election in human history." American media prognosticators who predicted the overwhelming victory of FSLN incumbent Daniel Ortega were surprised when UNO opposition candidate Violeta Chamorro won the Presidency in the country's first free elections in a decade. In addition to press conferences and rallies, the filmmaker visits an open-air market where Nicaraguans engage in heated debates regarding their country's political and economic situation and its relationship with the United States.
