Summary
A documentary on the rise and fall of Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, one of the first black rock and roll groups to cross the color barrier and to achieve general popularity. Lymon and the group had many hit recordings in 1956-57 but their success faded soon after that. Exploited by record producers and managers their popularity did not give them the financial rewards they should have received. Spoken tributes from surviving members of the original group and musical associates are interwoven with archival footage of performances and stills.
