- Summary
- Three of the world's jungles are explored, their life and natural balance explained. The focus of the program is the island of Barro Colorado, near Panama, where the Smithsonian Institute maintains a natural laboratory. Here, a vast ecosystem of plants, trees, birds, reptiles and insects utilize every inch of space and waste no energy. Also included are the jungle areas of Angkor Wat in Cambodia and the Upper Amazon in South America.
