- Summary
- This documentary intercuts archival and live action footage and interview sequences with veterans of the Count Basie Band to pay tribute to the Swing Era. The Basie sidemen are joined by other musicians for an impromptu session at Jimmy Ryan's Dixieland in New York City. Recollections by drummer Gene Krupa, band leader Andy Kirk and producer John Hammond round out this portrait of the Basie Band.
