- Summary
- In this short narrative, a teenage mother and her boyfriend confront the issues surrounding an unplanned pregnancy. Jeff is playing basketball with his friends when he receives news that his girlfriend Chris has given birth to their baby. Taking a casual, almost indifferent view of the event, Jeff is criticized by his friends for his irresponsible attitude. In the hospital, Chris's room partner Judy, also a teen mother, relates the troubled circumstances of her own pregnancy. Their conversation touches on AIDS, VD and birth control. At the tape's open-ended conclusion, Jeff urges Chris to sign the necessary papers for the baby's adoption but Chris hesitates wanting to discuss the matter further.
