- Description
- 1 film reel (51 min.) : sd., col. with b&w sequences; 16 mm.
- Summary
- Originally made to be shown with Tout Va Bien at the New York and San Francisco Film Festivals in 1972, Letter to Jane aims to combine the demystification of cinema as an art object with ideological analysis. At the centre is a loosely structured reading of a newspaper photograph of Jane Fonda with a group of North Vietnamese. Using minimal means Godard and Gorin produce a mixture of insight and ideological rhetoric.
