- 1 videocassette (20 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
- Summary
- In the Jewish religion, the cycle of holidays intertwines with nature - in the phases of the moon, the Fall harvest, the first fruits of Spring and the counting of the Omer - to create harmony between man and God. This tape examines the essential organic outlook of Judiasm while documenting a Yeshiva University Museum exhibit which displays ten settings replicating festive occasions. These environments depict Jewish holidays and ceremonies and were installed within a series of building facades arranged to resemble a town square. Visitors could look in at each observance complete with attractive table settings, lively celebrations and exquisite objects to experience the cyclical nature of the Jewish faith and its expression in different lifestyles.
