- Summary
- Examines the struggle surrounding the mural, America Tropical, painted by Mexican political artist, David Alfaro Siqueiros in Los Angles in 1932. It shows a man crucified upon a double cross under the eagle of the United States currency. Relates that after its appearance, the U.S. government refused to renew Siqueiros' visa and within two years, the mural was covered with whitewash. Indicates that the mural has been restored and shows the delicate process involved.
