- Summary
- An ex-convict who is an expert safecracker declines to "go on a job" because he is babysitting his infant son. He reconsiders and brings the baby along. After a successful robbery, police officers questioning an eyewitness dismiss the possibility of a robber with babe in arms. Set in Manhattan in the summer of 1931, this humorous story is told in Runyon's inimitable laconic style.
