Description
1 film reel (11 min.) : sd., col.; 16 mm.
Summary
This film presents a "tour de locomotion" of creatures who move by creeping, crawling, slithering, looping or rowing their way through liquids. Close-ups enable the viewer to observe the movement of such one-celled organisms as amoebas, diatoms, and rotifers. A variety of invertebrates (flatworms, earthworms, snails, leeches and caterpillars) have adapted to their environments with legless locomotion. Serpentine and rectilinear locomotion are demonstrated by the green snake and the viper.
