- Summary
- Colorful animation complements this rollicking rendition of the fairy tale about the imperial clotheshorse. Preoccupied with his royal attire, the emperor falls prey to two swindlers posing as weavers. Their specialty is invisible clothing "only the wise can see." As he marches in stately procession wearing his newly-fashioned garb, the monarch is met by the stunned silence of the multitude. A disingenuous child breaks the collective shock by declaring that the emperor has no clothes on. Realizing his folly, the ruler maintains his regal bearing in the face of derisive laughter and soon wins the respect of his subjects.
