- Summary
- Jimmy, a teenage boy, is blinded when his friend Mike accidentally throws a firecracker in his face. Jimmy is bitter and resentful toward Mike but agrees to accept professional help to deal with his situation. He learns to move about safely and how to read braille. After intense training at a guide dog school, Jimmy is matched to a German shepherd named Leader. Jimmy re-examines his anger toward Mike and attempts a reconciliation.
