- Description
- 1 videocassette (38 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
- Summary
- This film presents the stories of two 16-year-old girls, one black and one white, who inhabit the separate worlds proscribed by South African apartheid. Sylvia lives in the black township of Soweto; Sisca lives in an exclusive white suburb a few miles away. Sylvia and Sisca, who never meet, present the South Africa each knows. They take the viewer on a tour of their homes, churches and communities. Sylvia has been arrested and tortured by police and is now a student activist. Sisca and her family support the government's policies but consider themselves "enlightened" acceptors of reform.
